Former NAWOJ Chair Emenalom Named Acting Head of Service by Governor Uzodinma

The new head of the state civil service is Mrs. Chikodi Emenalom, who was previously chairman of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) of the State Council, an appointment made by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State.

According to a news release released by Oguwike Nwachukwu, the chief press secretary and media adviser to the governor, the appointment will replace Raymond Ucheoma, the outgoing head of service, who retired in accordance with the regulations of the state civil service. The appointment will take effect immediately.

According to Nwachukwu, the outgoing head of service has been with the State Civil Service since 1990, when she was appointed to the position of information officer. Since then, she has worked in a variety of ministries.

He said that the governor had congratulated Emenalom on her appointment and urged her to use her extensive background in the Service to her full potential in her new role.
