Rafael van der Vaart, a former attacking midfielder for Real Madrid, has criticised Vinicius following Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
The Dutchman slammed Vinicius’ antics against the Bundesliga heavyweights, calling them “awful.”
Luis Diaz and Harry Kane scored for the away team, giving them the victory over Los Blancos, and Vinicius couldn’t make much of an impression.
By stating, “It’s awful,” Van der Vaart criticised Vinicius in an interview with AS (via GOAL).
I get furious just watching him play. His talent as a player makes me feel terrible for him.
But he acts as if nothing has occurred every time he gets even a little touch of the ball; then he throws himself to the ground, hoping his opponent is sent off. That is the part of him that makes me sad.
