According to Arsenal great Theo Walcott, Real Madrid will finish in eighth place in the Premier League.
Wayne Rooney, a legend with Manchester United, and Alan Shearer, a hall of famer in the Premier League, have cast differing predictions.
The former football legends were asked to guess Real Madrid’s Premier League ranking while speaking on Amazon Prime Video’s social media accounts.
According to Walcott, Crystal Palace, Leeds United, and Newcastle United are three of Los Blancos’ toughest away games.
Then he went on to say that Spain would not be participating in either the UEFA Champions League or the Europa League.
He said, “Good question,” as an ex-England international. Nighttime away games at St. James’ Park against Leeds and Crystal Palace could be tough for them.
The weather also has a role. Eighth, they will complete. Many Madrid supporters will be dissatisfied with it. While I acknowledge that some Premier League clubs are more prepared than others, I do not believe Real Madrid to be among them.
Rooney thought Real Madrid should finish in the top four, but he acknowledged Walcott’s point that Real Madrid struggled on the road.
“I think some of the away matches will be much tougher than the ones they play in the Spanish calendar year,” he remarked, noting that the league games will be more difficult than La Liga games.
Even though Shearer shared their prediction that they would finish in the top four, he nevertheless backed them due to their prolific goal-scoring roster. He expressed concern that they would concede too many points by saying:
Although they may struggle with consistency, I am impressed by the talent they display, particularly in the beginning. I’d be surprised if they didn’t give up some, but I’d still claim the top four. They probably won’t win this one.”
There have been 44 matches between Los Blancos and English teams, with 17 wins and 14 losses.
