Achieving championship success for Nasarawa United and Nasarawa Amazons

Nasarawa United and Nasarawa Amazons are two state-owned football clubs in Nasarawa State. The Nasarawa State Government has encouraged them to win the NPFL and NWFL titles, respectively, in 2025–26.

As of [game count], Nasarawa United has 41 points, good for fourth place in the NPFL, three behind leaders Ikorodu City. In Group B, Nasarawa Amazons are in second place, having scored 15 points.

Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, the state commissioner for youth and sports development, is optimistic that the clubs will win both divisions of the domestic football competitions in Nigeria.

On the home front, Kwanta stressed, the clubs may achieve history.

“Our goal is for Nasarawa United and Nasarawa Amazons Football Clubs to compete on a continental level, not merely to win domestic league titles,” Kwanta informed the media team representing Nasarawa United.

Every hour of every day, we are devoted to the goal of realising this dream.

“With our gifted players, dedicated coaches, and enthusiastic supporters, we have everything we need to be successful.”
