Michael Atata, custodian for Ikorodu City, was the hero of the team’s 2-2 tie with Kun Khalifat FC.
In Sunday’s nail-biting match at Owerri’s Dan Anyiam Stadium, Atata was instrumental in the Oga Boys’ comeback for a draw.
Ikorodu City’s continental aspirations were kept alive by the shot stopper, who made numerous vital stops during the match.
Atata was named the game’s most valuable player despite giving up two goals.
The goalie’s contribution was recognised by Ikorodu City.
“Outstanding play in front of goal to give us a point.
“Michael Atata, our man of the match.”
At the moment, Ikorodu City is the team in fourth place in the NPFL standings.
