DETROIT (FOX 2) – 25 years ago, Eminem introduced the world to his alter ego, Slim Shady, with ‘My Name Is’. This Friday, Eminem will bury the alter ego with his 12th studio album. Eminem has a public service announcement – listen in order.
‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’ is going to be available on all streaming platforms starting Friday, July 12, where fans will be able to see the rapper resurrect some of his alter-ego.
On Wednesday, Apple Music unveiled a 19-song tracklist that includes a number of skits, a trademark of previous Eminem albums, and also a throwback to an iconic Eminem song, “Guilty Conscience 2”.
The first “Guilty Conscience” was a tag team with Dr. Dre, so it’s easy to assume that the two are going tag team again, considering no one has yet to deliver a worthy followup to that jam.
Two of the album’s tracks released early on: Houdini hit the net at the end of May and “Tobey” dropped last week.
There aren’t any features on this tracklist, although we have already found out that “Tobey” was worked on with Detroit rappers Big Sean and BabyTron.
He added the day before and said listeners might want to pop the tracks into their stereos in labeled order.”.

In his post, he referenced a ‘public service announcement’, another reference to previous skits and songs as found on his earlier albums.
Indeed the tracklist eventually got released merely a day after Eminem himself had posted the cover art of the album, Hers portraying his alter ego getting zippered away into a body bag.
Par for course, there’s a parental advisory detritus sticker on top.
