The late Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, was the target of harsh criticism and serious accusations due to the Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo’s activism in seeking justice for her.
Ojo claimed she was accused of Mohbad’s murder during a recent appearance on AY’s “Glass House” show.
Reportedly, she was also accused of seeking influence through his demise.
Despite the claims to the contrary, the actress stated her desire to see the late music star’s case resolved.
Possibly even suggesting that I was responsible for Mohbad’s death, Ojo said. I was absent at the time of Mohbad’s passing. He and I were not close. He was someone I didn’t know very well.
During the One Africa music festival is when I first met him. Although our time together was brief, I got the impression that he was a chill dude who was dealing with his own issues and making music.
I fought to have his body exhumed for an examination, but why would I have done so if I had killed him? At one point, they even claimed to have paid me [for my efforts to secure justice for Mohbad]. They further implied that I was seeking political office.
There was talk that I was exploiting it to gain influence. Many things have been said regarding me. However, that doesn’t concern me because it isn’t true. The only thing I did was try to aid in the singer’s pursuit of justice.
