The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has made an announcement regarding the arrival of 33 vessels at Lagos ports this week. These vessels will be bringing petroleum products, food supplies, and other commodities.
According to the authority’s Daily Shipping Position, the ships are slated to dock at the Apapa, Tin Can Island, and Lekki Deep Sea ports from March 2nd to March 8th.
According to the shipping schedule, 16 of the incoming vessels are container ships conveying assorted goods, while the remaining vessels are loaded with commodities such as bulk urea, crude oil, fertiliser, salt, gypsum, sugar and other general cargo. Eleven ships and tankers have sailed to the three ports, according to the NPA, and are waiting to berth.
These ships are conveying aviation fuel, petrol, diesel, alkaline substances and containerised cargo. The authority noted that 17 vessels are presently discharging cargo at Apapa, Tin Can Island and Lekki ports.
The ongoing operations involve bulk wheat, general cargo, urea, gas, trucks and various containerised goods, reflecting sustained shipping and cargo-handling activities across the Lagos port corridor.
