Tottenham defeats Man City, putting them six points lagging Arsenal

The opportunity for Manchester City to keep a four-point lead over Arsenal was lost in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners had already beaten Leeds United 4-0 when Pep Guardiola’s squad arrived in North London.

Aston Villa also lost earlier in the day, losing 1-0 to Brentford, who were down to 10 players.

At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, City took a 2-0 lead on goals from Antoine Semenyo and Ryan Cherki.

Dominic Solanke scored twice in the second half as the home team battled back to earn a draw.

This past weekend, Arsenal increased their advantage atop the league to six points.
