According to Governor Uba Sani, investment opportunities in Kaduna State have been opened up by the changes his administration has implemented over the past 2.5 years.
In addition, the governor shared the news that Kaduna has placed second in the 2025 Subnational Ease of Doing Business Report by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, a testament to the reforms’ credibility and success.
This was his speech during Thursday’s ground-breaking ceremony for Kaima Smart City in Pmape, a town in Kagarko local government in Kaduna State that borders the Federal Capital Territory.
The Governor told the crowd that his administration is “now recording concrete investment outcomes across critical sectors” and that it is expanding upon its reform and peace agenda.
“Renew Hope Housing programs and the Qatar Sanabil Housing project are creating thousands of affordable homes, social infrastructure, and jobs, especially for displaced and vulnerable communities,” he said, mentioning housing as an area of groundbreaking work.
Drawing on Kaduna’s abundant natural resources and advantageous position, the governor highlighted that “renewed investor confidence is driving growth in mining, agri-business, manufacturing, and industrial development.”
In his remarks, he highlighted the fact that stable policies and investments are resulting in tangible assets, real jobs, and long-term economic progress for the people of our country.
According to Governor Uba Sani, the idea behind Kaima Smart City was to serve as an example of modern urban development in Nigeria and the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa.
“Being so close to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, makes it an important economic and cultural hub.”
With an expected investment of over 700 million dollars, this project showcases Kaduna State’s reputation as a place where dreams come true and where value is cultivated for the future, he added.
A response to the urgent realities of the times, the Governor said, is the Kaima smart city.
Worldwide, fast urbanisation has increased environmental stress, exacerbated social inequality, and stressed infrastructure. In response to these difficulties, we have created Kaima Smart City, he continued.
In addition, Governor Uba Sani said that the city fully supports “sustainable planning, and resilient infrastructure to create an urban ecosystem that is inclusive, efficient, and future-ready; one that serves present needs while safeguarding the interests of generations yet unborn.”
When finished, the Governor’s vision for Kaima Smart City is a thriving center of business, culture, recreation, and innovation.
Among the many promises he made, he is certain that it will help establish Kaduna State as one of the top tourist destinations in Africa, boost Internally Generated Revenue, provide good jobs for our people, and open up new chances for host towns.
