Primate Elijah Ayodele, who is in charge of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stated that Nigerians despise President Bola Tinubu despite the fact that Tinubu has done a better job than Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan.
Primate Ayodele stated that Tinubu has served Nigerians well, but that his associates are opposed to his desire for a second term in office.
As he spoke to reporters in Lagos on Sunday, the reverend made it clear that while Tinubu has been beneficial to Nigerians, they despise him. There is an enemy. A major issue for Tinubu is the disapproval and lack of support from those around him over his bid for reelection.
A new plan of action and a renewed sense of purpose are necessities for him. The agenda needs to shift, but what matters is that Tinubu has outperformed both Buhari and Jonathan.
Whether it’s real or not, I drove along the Coastal Road. Instead of spending 18–22 hours getting to Calabar, you can do it in four hours starting from that point. It is incredibly fast if you are travelling within the Ajah area. That is why Tinubu has been so successful.
Unless there is fraud, he claimed, some state governors and members of the Assembly would not be re-elected in 2027.
According to him, there have been chairmen who have shown the ability to become governors and truly represent the people’s interests.
“Unless there is rigging, I don’t think some governors and House of Representatives members can win in 2027.”
Because Nigerians will turn out in large numbers in 2027, Primate Ayodele said, it would be different from 2023.
He continued by saying that INEC chairman Joash Amupitan will not receive any gratitude from the Nigerian people.
Compared to 2023, the 2027 election will be very different. I don’t think the timing of the election is realistic, but Nigerians are committed and are turning out enthusiastically. Perhaps the date has been modified; we’ll have to see. No amount of work on the part of the INEC chairman will be appreciated by the Nigerian people.
“Nigerians will scold him, they will intimidate him, and they will employ various tactics to subdue him,” he said.
