Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senator Ireti Kingibe has been retaliated against by Minister Nyesom Wike.
Wike said that Kingibe should have the ability to read and write while he was addressing on Saturday during the supervision of the FCT Area Council election. No curfew was imposed by the ministry without President Bola Tinubu’s assent, as he himself stated.
You may remember that on Friday, Senator Kingibe went off the rails about the curfew, saying that the minister’s behaviour did not belong in a democratic country.
I felt she ought to be able to read and write her position as senator, therefore it’s a shame. On my own, I have never instituted a curfew. As a result of the president’s blessing, I mentioned it,” Wike stated.
In a special broadcast on Thursday, Wike ordered Friday off in the nation’s capital in anticipation of the council elections.
From 8 p.m. on Friday until 6 p.m. on Saturday, he declared a limitation on human and vehicular movement across the FCT.
