While he is still facing legal action, former Federal Attorney-General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami is certain that justice will triumph in the end.
In his statement, Malami thanked the many Nigerians—including Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Rotimi Amaechi, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Peter Obi, and many more—who had supported him throughout that time.
Malami expressed his gratitude for the support he received at that time, saying it bolstered his faith in the legal system and due procedure, via his media aide Mohammed Bello Doka.
He said that it was a difficult time, full of media trials, sensational stories, and prejudice, but that the prayers and support of Nigerians strengthened his determination.
In the same speech, he emphasised the need for people to keep fighting for justice, building institutions, and encouraging accountability nationwide, all while pleading for a stronger dedication to the rule of law.
“The fight for honesty, responsibility, and national salvation is just getting started,” he declared, stressing the need of unity among Nigerians in protecting democratic principles and integrity.
The statements made by Malami occur when he is still embroiled in a number of court proceedings, some of which contain corruption accusations.
