Brazilian national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti has responded to questions about why Neymar was not included in his most recent roster for the March international break.
Neymar was left out of Ancelotti’s squad to face France and Croatia later this month, according to reports. When asked about Ancelotti’s decision to leave him out of the team, Neymar responded by saying he was disappointed.
But Ancelotti finally put an end to the dogged speculation over why Neymar wasn’t named to Brazil’s squad when he spoke Thursday before the team’s friendly match against France in Boston.
I take note of everything and pay attention to every detail. But it is my job to decide things. Football isn’t a science, and it’s natural for everyone to have an opinion about it, according to Ancelotti’s remarks to reporters cited by ESPN.
“I must honour the fact that everyone has the right to their own opinion.”
