BREAKING: President Tinubu Lifts Embargo on Renewed Hope CCT Program

Consistent with his anniversary address, President Bola Tinubu did not say anything concerning the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) or N-Power. Instead, he went one better and lifted the embargo placed on the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program, meaning the program stands sustained and plans to resume support to the vulnerable households.

So, a few days ago, we shared an update where the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation tweeted that: “Federal Government in collaboration with World Bank, NSIPA And Others Begins Orientation Training For NASSSP-SU. If you missed the update, read here: FG, Partner World Bank, NSIPA, And Others Begin Orientation Training For NASSSP-SU We must note that all these programs belong to the NSIP Programme, including N-Power, CCT, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Program (GEEP), and Home Grown School Feeding Program. While they remain suspended, the approval for CCT opens a window to some positive steps.
