In their last games of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season, Abakaliki FC’s head coach Starplus Izuikem Anistar feels optimistic about his team’s chances.
The remaining NNL fixtures for the Rice Boys this season include matches against Ekiti United, Solution FC, Calabar Rovers, and Akwa United.
When asked about his team’s concerns, Anistar specifically mentioned their match against Ekiti United. He thought the encounter will be crucial for the club’s promotion aspirations.
There are still four games left in the season, and three of them are away games against Ekiti United, Akwa United, Solution FC, and Calabar Rovers, according to Anistar’s interview with Completesports.
The lengthy journey to Ado Ekiti to play Ekiti United is, however, a source of anxiety for me. Aside from that, I think our squad can compete with anyone, especially because we aren’t stopping in our pursuit of promotion.
With 22 points after 14 games, Abakaliki FC is in fourth place in NNL Conference B.
