The Super Falcons of Nigeria may reportedly disband after the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations was postponed, according to Gistcon.
Last week, Justine Madugu’s squad played two friendly matches in Yaoundé against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon. On Wednesday, they returned to the nation. The original plan was for the African champions to finish their preparations in Morocco.
After the competition was rescheduled for July by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the players have already gone their own ways.
Aside than that, CAF has been mum on which nation will be hosting the biennial tournament. Group C includes Egypt, Malawi, and Zambia, where the Super Falcons will be competing.
