The governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has once again stated his intention to carry out development projects throughout the state without wavering.
The governor made it clear that his administration will remain focused on serving the people, saying that they will not let political distractions disrupt their efforts.
On Wednesday, while touring the Creek Road Market and other important road repair projects in the former Port Harcourt Township, he made the promise.
I assure our people that we will remain steadfast in our commitment to good government, regardless of the challenges we face.
“They have placed their faith in us as leaders; the very least we can do is provide them with stability, confidence, and the guarantee that strong governance will be maintained,” he stated.
Before ending the practice at the Creek Road Market, Fubara inspected restored streets surrounding Moore House and toured several roadworks, both completed and ongoing.
As part of his remarks on the market’s redevelopment, the governor hailed the initiative as a game-changer for the once-great Port Harcourt Township, saying that the facility’s modernisation will bring back its former lustre and boost local commerce.
