Arne Slot, manager of Liverpool, has said that he would not be surprised if Arsenal scored three goals against Chelsea on Sunday in the Premier League by capitalising on their set-piece abilities.
This was mentioned by Slot at Saturday’s post-match press conference after Liverpool’s 5-2 triumph over West Ham United.
A period came when we were trailing Arsenal in set pieces (including penalties) by 23 goals, Slot admitted. We haven’t only fallen behind by three goals; we’ve really closed the deficit somewhat.
“It would not surprise me if Arsenal scored three goals from set pieces against Chelsea this weekend, too. You never know what the weekend holds for them.”
As the leaders, Liverpool, get ready to take on Wolves in Tuesday’s Premier League encounter, Slot’s attention turns to them.
