In Atletico Madrid’s victory over Club Brugge, Lookman scores an assist

Tuesday night’s 4-1 UEFA Champions League victory over Club Brugge at the Metropolitano Stadium propelled Atletico Madrid into the round of 16, with an assist from Ademola Lookman.

The playoff tie was eventually won by the LaLiga giants on aggregate, 7-4.

Diego Simeone, the head coach, included Lookman in the substitutions.

After Alex Baena was substituted in the 70th minute, the nimble winger came on.

The third goal for Diego Simeone’s team came six minutes later when Lookman set up Alexander Sørloth.

In seven outings for the Rojiblancos across all competitions, the Nigeria international has now recorded four goals and three assists.

For Atletico, Sørloth scored three goals, and Johnny Cardoso added the fourth.

Club Brugge’s goal was scored by Joel Ordóñez, an Ecuadorian defender.
