MC Oluomo challenges Baruwa following secretariat takeover; I remain NURTW president

The man known as MC Oluomo, whose real name is Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, has maintained his position as NURTW’s national president.

In response to reports that Tajudeen Baruwa has taken over the NURTW national secretariat, Mc Oluomo issued a statement on Monday. The judicial decisions that Baruwa referred to were, he asserted, in his favour.

But in an Instagram post, McOluomo described the change as a “forceful takeover” and insisted that the appropriate legal procedures were continuing.

“I want to assure everyone that I was not a defendant in the purported judgement,” the president said in a statement. A stay of execution has been appropriately entered, and the judgement has been appealed.

Despite being aware that cases are ongoing in court, he has not engaged with Mr. Baruwa or anybody else.

Security services are in charge of the situation. The National President of NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, continues in his role.”
