The NPFL has given the go-ahead for Barau FC and Katsina United’s match on matchday 32 to take place in a closed-door format. The league’s governing body said that Barau FC requested the decision.
As per the NPFL, this decision was made due to the past actions of the fans of both Kano and Katsina United.
For a closed-door match to go off without a hitch, the NPFL pushed Barau FC to pull it off.
According to Gistcon, there have been incidents of mob violence during matches featuring teams from those states.
On Sunday, the Sani Abacha Stadium will host a match between Barau FC and Katsina United.
