Police Recruitment: No date fixed for training – PSC

PSC further explained that no time has been fixed for the training of recently recruited constables, as against social media claims.

The commission has, therefore, warned Nigerians to discountenance multiple social media reports with scheduled dates for training for shortlisted candidates, as same did not emanate from the PSC.

This is contained in a statement by the PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani: “The commission wishes to disown multiple social media reports on the 2022 recruitment exercise, especially on the imaginary scheduled date for training for shortlisted candidates.”.

The commission equally frowns at the recent use of the name of its spokesman, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, on fictitious and phantom press statements, all calculated to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians on the status of the exercise.

“The commission wants to state categorically that at no time has it issued any statement to the effect of reviewing the list of successful candidates or inviting successful candidates to check their applications on the newly launched portal.”.

No public advisory by the Commission to the effect that candidates should print an invitation slip and proceed to the police training colleges.

It has also not announced a date for the training programme, and Monday, July 22nd, 2024 date bandied in the social media is just a figment of imagination of the impostors. “The commission wishes to advise candidates to be patient and await its official statement on the just concluded recruitment exercise.”

It also warned these relentless impersonators to steer clear of its activities, especially the recruitment exercise, and warns that anybody caught undermining the exercise will be dealt with by the law.
