The US Congress sanctions on Rabi’u Kwankwaso’s principal, Folashade Aliu, are allegedly politically driven, according to Aliu, who was an adviser to Kwankwaso during his run for president in 2016.
During her appearance on Thursday’s episode of “Prime Time” on Arise Television, Aliu made this accusation and said that the action was extremely nasty.
According to Gistcon, US lawmakers have introduced a new bill to hold Nigerian officials more accountable for human rights violations.
Fulani militias and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, are included as possible targets for penalties in the Nigeria Religious Freedom and Accountability Act of 2026.
“There is no indication that Kwankwaso has anything to do with religious bigotry or terrorism,” responded the former lawmaker’s aide. This entire affair is quite malevolent and driven by political interests; that is how I intend to convey it to you.
In addition to being a decent human being and patriot, Kwankwaso has Christian associates and a running companion.
“Then I’d like to add that it’s incorrect that the bill claims Kwankwaso is the first governor related to Sharia law. Take a look at it.”
