Reducing tensions, Governor Mutfwang prohibits unauthorised roadblocks on the Plateau

All 17 of Plateau State’s local government areas have been ordered to immediately remove any and all illegal barricades by the state’s governor, Caleb Mutfwang.

Additionally, he stated that the mounting of checkpoints is strictly limited to approved security personnel. A community’s leaders would be held responsible if they disobey the governor’s order, he warned.

He also issued a stern warning to anyone who are stirring discord or distributing false information, particularly on social media, to stop doing so right away.

Mutfwang made it clear that the state of Plateau State will not stand for anything that could threaten its stability and tranquillity.

This action further demonstrates the government’s resolve to save lives, uphold law and order, and foster enduring peace throughout the state.

Attacks at the Doorway Babuje community and on travellers resulted in scores of deaths a few days ago, as reported by Gistcon, in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state.

The city and its suburbs are on edge due to the aforementioned incidents.
