On Friday, at Uyo’s Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, the Super Eagles won the opening leg, 1-0.
The lone goal of the match was scored in the second half by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
At his post-match press conference following Nigeria’s victory over Libya in the first leg, William Troost-Ekong stated, “Libya will come out fighting, but we want to go there and seal our AFCON qualification.”
“No matter how hostile the crowd is, we will be prepared to face them head-on.”
Group D is now headed by Nigeria, who have accumulated seven points from three matches, while Libya have managed just one point in the same amount of games, putting them in last place.
