The highly anticipated Afro Nation 2026 festival in Portugal will be headlined by Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Asake, three afrobeats superstars.
Officials from the event took to X (@AfroNation) to announce the lineup, teasing a celebration that will feature both long-running legends and up-and-coming stars from throughout the world.
The beautiful Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Portugal will host the three-day festival from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5.
Afro Nation is a cultural phenomenon that has spread over the world. It is widely recognised as a top platform for Afrobeats, Amapiano, and R&B.
The event will go off on July 3 with Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy as the headliner. Boy is known for his diverse blend of Afrobeat, dancehall, and worldly rhythms.
Tyla, a South African phenomenon whose ascent to fame in Amapiano solidified her place as a groundbreaking international artist, will be performing with him.
The festival will be headlined by Asake on July 4, and Wizkid is scheduled to close it on July 5. Asake is noted for his dynamic fusion of Afrobeats, street pop, and lyrical melodies. Afro Nation 2026 will showcase a wide variety of worldwide artists, not only the headliner.
A variety of musical styles will be showcased during the festival thanks to special guests including Gunna and American R&B artist Kehlani.
The continuous global rise of African music will be showcased by a number of Nigerian stars, such as Mavo, Wande Coal, Olamide, Young John, and Darkoo.
In order to give fans a head start, organisers have announced that early-access tickets will be available for purchase on February 5.

The event has grown over the years, now taking place in places including Detroit, Miami, Puerto Rico, and Ghana. Performers such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Megan Thee Stallion, 50 Cent, Chris Brown, and Nicki Minaj have headlined in the past.
