Daniel Dubois brutally knocks out Anthony Joshua, leading to a boxing ban for Joshua

After last week’s horrific loss to Daniel Dubois, Anthony Joshua was punished with a 28-day suspension from boxing.

In front of 96,000 spectators at Wembley, Dubois knocked out the British fighter in the fifth round.

The 27-year-old was able to hold on to his IBF heavyweight belt with this victory.

Four times Joshua was knocked down by Dubois during the fight.

The British Boxing Board of Control has enforced the standard procedure and barred Joshua from competing for 28 days.

Fighters are often subject to medical suspensions following knockout or technical knockout losses, as per the rules set down by the Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports.
