The strike by Portugal great Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr has been called off.
This weekend, the Portuguese star will be back on the pitch for Al-Nassr’s match after a protest against the Saudi PIF.
The former Real Madrid player had already taken a knee in protest against the club’s leadership by sitting out the previous two games.
The PIF reportedly caved to Ronaldo’s demands and paid some of the club employees’ outstanding salary, according to A Bola.
José Semedo and Simão Coutinho, who were requested to step down in December, have also been the subject of meetings to reinstate them as the club’s CEO and Sporting Director, respectively.
Al-Nassr will not be fielding Cristiano Ronaldo in Wednesday’s AFC Champions League 2 match against Arkadag in Turkmenistan.
When his club takes on Al-Fateh in Saturday’s Saudi Pro League match, the player will be available to participate.
