Coach Olowookere of the Flamingoes announces U-17 Women’s World Cup roster

Bankole Olowookere, head coach of the Flamingoes, has named 21 players to represent Nigeria at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The roster includes Taiwo Afolabi, the captain, and dependable forwards Harmony Chidi and Peace Effiong.

The West Africans were led by Chidi’s thirteen goals in the qualifying matches.

Along with the host country, Ecuador, and New Zealand, the Flamingos are in Group A.

The Flamingos’ group will take a Turkish Airlines aircraft out of Nigeria on Tuesday, October 1st for a two-week training camp in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic’s capital, before the tournament starts.

When India hosted the competition last, Nigeria came in third.
