Yahuza Haruna Adamu, head of the civil service in Bauchi state, has made it clear to public officials taking promotion tests that the state will not tolerate any form of cheating.
During Wednesday’s sensitization training for the 2024 Batch ‘A and B’ public Service promotion exam, the HoS issued the warning and urged public officials to refrain from engaging in unethical behavior.
In order to protect the validity of the examination process, Haruna promised that his office will keep a close eye on things to make sure that all procedures are followed to the letter.
Around 2,800 state civil officers are reportedly taking the 2024 promotion examinations for batches A and B, according to Gistcon.
Adamu said that individuals found cheating on earlier tests had previously faced disciplinary action from the state administration.
According to him, the current administration views the examination process as an important step toward maintaining a responsive, vibrant, and capable state civil service that can satisfy the requirements of the people of Bauchi.
The goal of the session, he elaborated, is to provide government employees the tools they need to do well on their examinations.
Haruna praised the recent high achievers, who had an astounding 85% success rate, and said, “Your dedication to excellence has truly paid off, and we are proud of your accomplishments.” (Haruna, n.d.).
Present examinees, he said, should strive to break records by going above and above the 85% mark.
“Keep in mind, your accomplishments showcase our shared dedication to public service,” Haruna urged.
“Remain committed, put in the necessary effort, and have faith in your abilities. You can do great things and bring honor to our family.
State Civil Service Commission Chairman Abubakar Usman praised Governor Bala Mohammed for his unwavering backing of the state’s civil service in his speech.
Under the auspices of the Permanent Commissioner, Nasir Mohammed Yalwa, Usman reminisced about how the civil service in Bauchi State has long been considered among the best in the country, frequently serving as a model for other states to follow.
