The Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC) held a local government election on November 2. The state’s political parties have expressed satisfaction with the results.

A council evaluation of the November 2 votes confirmed that the election was legitimate and not skewed in favor of any political faction, according to Uluocha, who doubles as the YPP’s state chairman.
Rather than use the media to inflame the Abia polity, the dissatisfied candidates should approach their party chairmen for advice, as the IPAC chairman was flanked by them, and follow the established procedures for expressing their grievances.
