The Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in the state of Benue has appointed James Ogaba Oche as its commissioner.
Oche was chosen by President Bola Tinubu a few months ago.
Before this, Oche was the head of the Ado Local Government Area.
Speechmaking immediately after taking office in Makurdi on Tuesday, Oche vowed to support victims of wrongdoing by public and private entities by promoting fair investigations.
“I am taking official office today as the Commissioner for the Benue State Public Complaints Commission, PCC. I want to stress that the PCC’s core principles will be upheld passionately throughout the state,” he declared.
“Under our joint leadership, staff welfare will receive adequate attention,” the statement read. “The Honourable Chief Commissioner, Rt. Hon. Bashir Abubakar has made it clear that this is a top priority for our organization.”
He assured the personnel of the Benue State Office of the Public Complaints Commission that they will be duly rewarded for their efforts and emphasized the importance of working hard to accomplish the commission’s objectives.
The people of Benue State, the National Assembly, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria, and the blessings of God upon my life have afforded me the honor of serving, and I am grateful.

Oche restated the goals of the commission, which include ensuring that everyone has access to social justice and giving people a way to get their money back when they’ve been wronged by the government or private companies.
“Under my leadership, the commission in Benue State will vigorously pursue fair investigations to redress grievances raised by individuals or groups wronged by public and private entities,” he declared.
