Singer Jason Joel Desrouleaux (real name: Jason Derulo), an American, has spoken publicly about his hopes to tie the knot at a young age, saying that he never imagined he’d be unmarried at the age of 37.
The ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ singer opened up about how his marriage affected his outlook of marriage in an interview with Graham Bensinger.
As a result of seeing so many couples’ stressful times and breakups, the musician claims he is terrified of being committed.
Many of the girls I dated had the impression that I was planning to wed them. I would have never imagined that I would be 37 years old and unattached.
“But I’ve seen enough. Personally, I feel like I’ve seen it all. The things I have witnessed are mind-boggling; I have witnessed married women abruptly abandoning their husbands or leaving their guys at the club. His expression was one of complete exhaustion from seeing everything.
Their three-year romance ended in September 2014 when Derulo broke up with fellow singer Jordin Sparks.
His son was born in 2021 to him and his partner Jena Frumes. Just five months after their baby was born, the couple decided to end their relationship.
