Meeting details between Tinubu and service chiefs have emerged

In continuing military operations around the nation, Nigerians should rest confident that terrorists and outlaws are taking more casualties, according to Defence Minister General Christopher Musa.

Musa claimed the military had arrived to dispel what he called “slanted reports” in the media after a security meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.

We are here today to apprise the President of the situation as it stands on the ground. According to Musa, “our security forces have risen to the occasion” in response to a spate of attacks. “The media in particular has been guilty of providing inaccurate interpretations on occasion. To set the record straight, we thought it was important.

“Despite what you might have read or heard, the terrorists and bandits are actually killing more people,” he continued. They are losing commanders daily. We know that we will win.

The Defence Minister expressed condolences for the casualties in the military but reaffirmed the government’s resolve to protect the nation.

The loss of so many brave officers and men is something we really mourn. However, we want the people of Nigeria to know that we are fully committed to doing what it takes to keep the country secure.

Musa disclosed, with presidential backing, that President Tinubu has pledged to provide the military with upgraded hardware.

We are sure in our triumph since the president has promised more equipment to help us protect the nation, he added.

Nigerians, Musa said, must keep their strength. Please, Nigerians, do not grow weary or disheartened. You can get the impression that the news you’re hearing presents the whole picture, but in reality, that’s rarely the case. Those who are really hurting are the terrorists and the bandits.
