Dave Umahi, the minister of works, has spoken out after a woman named Tracy Nither Ohiri accused him of sexual harassment.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Umahi stated that if it were Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator for Kogi Central, who claimed that he was after her, his expression would be more daring. He went on to say that this person is not a human at all.
He claims it’s all for show and thinks Nigerians would be better served if they stopped worrying about him and focused on the conflict in Iran.
His detractors had accused him of allegedly withholding payment from a woman who had done work for him after she turned down his sexual advances. He was addressing their accusations.
Many of you who are familiar with me would like my gratitude. No one owes me anything. Naturally, I presided over both male and female delegates, and not a single one of them accused me of harassing them.
I oversaw outstanding infrastructure development during my eight years as governor. Therefore, unless someone is being malicious, they cannot come forward and falsely accuse me.
“Nobody owes me anything. No one would dare accuse this dashing man of pursuing Senator Natasha for twelve years if she were to say so herself.
“It’s purely for social media, but I believe we can shift our focus to the war in Iran and give Umahi a break,” he stated.
