Professor Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra State, has officially welcomed fourteen new cabinet members into his administration for the upcoming second term.
The appointees were reprimanded by the governor, who reminded them that their appointment was to work and not dine, and he urged that their festivities should conclude at the event so that work could begin right away.
He emphasised the importance of their decisions as leaders impacting the lives of more than nine million people in Anambra and around ten million indigenous people worldwide, imploring them to always do what is right.
Soludo acknowledged that it is common practice for newly appointed Nigerians to celebrate with parties, but he emphasised that the goal of the appointment is to get to work, therefore the festivities must conclude after the swearing-in ceremony and the new appointments must begin right away.
Following the oaths of office administered by Barr Tobechukwu Nweke, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, the governor addressed the assembly. Barr Mrs. Ngozi Iwouno, the state’s Solicitor General, swore in Nweke before Nweke himself took the oath of office as Head of Service.
As he welcomed the newly sworn-in appointees to the Team Solution 2.0, Soludo offered his congratulations. I took the oath of office a week ago alongside the Deputy Governor, and during our inauguration, we reviewed our past accomplishments and provided an overview of our future plans.
This is the initial round of appointments that will form Solution Team 2.0. We will schedule additional appointments, and we may announce some more today or tomorrow.

At the swearing-in ceremony, the following individuals were officially recognised: Head of Service, Barr (Mrs) Ngozi Iwouno; Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barr Joachin Peters Anetoh; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Ben Nwankwo; State Chief of Protocol, Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor; Attorney-General of the State, Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN; and Special Adviser-community Security, Mr. Ken Emeakayi.
Dr. Godwin Nnadozie is the Special Adviser on Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices. Ms. Chinwe Okoli is the Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation and CEO of the Solution Innovation District. Mr. Christian Aburime is the Chief Press Secretary (CPS). Dr. Vincent Egbuna Okechi is the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS). Ms. Ngozi Lucy Okoye is the Deputy State Chief of Protocol (DSCOP). Professor (Engr.) Ebuka Nwankwo oversaw the project’s evaluation and monitoring.
