Attorney Deji Adeyanju has called on Tunji Disu, the newly appointed Inspector General of Police, to rectify the mistakes made by his predecessor, Kayode Egbetokun.
After years of fighting over whether or not President Bola Tinubu’s decision to extend Egbetokun’s tenure was lawful, the former official reportedly resigned on Tuesday, according to Gistcon.
In a message of congratulations to the newly appointed IGP, Deji cautioned that he would face confrontation if he veered from the path.

Egbetokun failed to fully comply with President Tinubu’s order to remove all police officers from VIPs so that they could safeguard the nation. We must reform the police and ensure that the human rights of citizens are protected. The extortion of ordinary individuals must end.
