John Gaines and American singer Victoria Monet have announced their breakup after dating for several years.
On Monday, the couple came clean about their separation, saying that it has been going on for ten months.
They made it clear that “infidelity, toxic behaviour nor drama” were not reasons for their peaceful split.
They justified their split by saying it would help them become better people for their daughter and allow them to undergo some necessary personal growth.
“We have spent the last 10 months attempting to diplomatically and discreetly navigate the reality that we are no longer in a relationship,” the statement said in part.
Despite our undying love and admiration for one another, we have decided that our relationship is over.
No toxic behavior, drama, or adultery occurred.
It would be wise for us to pursue some essential personal growth separately so that we may continue to be the greatest versions of ourselves for our kid.
