Cuba Chief Priest, a well-known businessman and socialite, has come clean about his decision not to back Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the recent election, disclosing his new political strategy that centers on collaborating with the federal government.
The businessman spoke at a political rally in Imo State, where he said the gathering was the product of weeks of preparation and a sign of the increasing solidarity and backing for the present government.
The choice to shift tactics was based on his conviction that years of political resistance had failed to yield the expected outcomes.
At the core, we have chosen to collaborate with the government. A battle is not in our future. He finally admitted that battling hadn’t worked.
The Chief Priest also extended his gratitude to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma for the state’s progress, which he attributed to Uzodimma’s strong ties with the federal government.
He went on to praise Seyi Tinubu, saying that the latter is helping to bring people together by bridging regional and ethnic divides.
The billionaire now views his opposition to Tinubu as a political blunder, as he reflected on the recent election. Politics is a game, he declared, adding, “We will never waste our votes again.” He vowed never to lose again.
In addition, he promised further mobilisation in the run-up to future elections and said that the president’s rising support might become one of the country’s biggest political forces.
The chief priest prayed for Tinubu’s success in office and urged Nigerians to stand together in partnership as the country progresses.
