The late Alaafin of Oyo’s wife, Queen Dammy, has come under fire from controversial Nigerian singer Portable, for publicly denying their relationship. The couple reportedly split up in December 2024 following a heated online argument, according to Gistcon.
The queen is from Ibadan, Oyo state, and while shaming her on social media, Portable made a claim about how he rescued her from the squalor of her hometown and rented her a POP ceiling flat in a more civilised city.
The indigenous people of Ibadan City reacted negatively to his comments and forbade him from playing there.
After the incident concluded in January 2025, very little was said about the couple again. However, this week, Portable launched a new verbal assault, accusing Queen Dammy of declaring he is no longer a part of her life.
During a recent TikTok live session with famous streamer Salo, Queen Dammy made the statement while discussing her love life.
Portable, who felt betrayed, revealed in a social media video that they reunited after she pleaded with him, but that they had chosen to keep their relationship off of social media.
Portable said that Queen Dammy is presently residing in a flat he rented for her and that he had sex with her the night before she rejected him, all while accusing her of lying.
“Just picture Salo enquiring about me a couple of days ago, and Queen Dammy flat-out denied my existence,” he claimed. I had sex with this person all night long before she went live. Actually, we were lying on the bed together. Why was she rejecting me, I demanded to know. Is it her intention to keep quiet about our reconciliation? No words came out of her mouth either.
She rejected my attempts to get the Ibadan people to forgive me and acknowledge that I am still liable for her maintenance and requirements. She had to come begging to me, but I took her back. “I will never find a husband for any woman who leaves me,” portable declared.
